DAY1: ARRIVE CHRISTCHURCH

Pick-up self drive rental vehicle on arrival at Christchurch International Airport. Self drive to your hotel in the “Garden City”. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax or explore the city on your own with rental vehicle..

DAY2: CHRISTCHURCH / MOUNT COOK

Transfer to Mount Cook by SIC today traveling across the Canterbury Plains to Geraldine and over rolling hill country to Fairlie. Climb up through the Burke’s Pass to the MacKenzie High Country. Stop at the “Church of the Good Shepherd” on the shores of Lake Tekapo before following Lake Pukaki to the highest mountain in New Zealand – Mt Cook. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore on your own or perhaps depending on the weather on the day, take an Optional scenic flight over the mountains with a snow landing on the Tasman Glacier. (Not included in tour costs)

DAY 3:MOUNT COOK / QUEENSTOWN

Check out of your hotel. This morning is at leisure to take in the Alpine vista and fresh air or perhaps for a walk in the National Park. Depart Mount Cook and self drive to Queenstown via Omarama and the Lindis Pass into Central Otago, and passing by the fruit growing region around Cromwell and then on through the rugged Kawarau Gorge to arrive at picturesque Queenstown set on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax.

DAY 4:QUEENSTOWN

Today is a free day at leisure with an opportunity to explore on your own or to experience some of the many Optional activities available here such as jetboating, bungy jumping, whitewater rafting, TSS Earnslaw cruise across Lake Wakatipu to the Walter Peak Sheep Station, a gondola ride up Bob's Peak, 4WD safaris and many more options. Enjoy the Adventure Capital of New Zealand. (Please note that Optional activities listed above are not included in tour cost.)

DAY 5: QUEENSTOWN / CHRISTCHURCH

Transfer to Christchurch by SIC this morning traveling through the Kawarau Gorge once more and the fruit growing area around Cromwell and across Lake Dunstan and through Central Otago to the Lindis Pass and up into the MacKenzie High Country, through the settlement of Omarama and on to Lake Tekapo. Descend Burkes Pass to Fairlie and through rolling hill country to Geraldine and across the flat Canterbury Plains to Christchurch, the "Garden City" once more.

DAY6: DEPART CHRISTCHURCH

Check out of your hotel and this morning is at leisure until it is time to self drive to Queenstown Airport and drop-off the rental car before boarding your departure flight. There may be an opportunity for some last minute shopping or time to experience some of the many Optional activities available here such as jetboating, bungy jumping, whitewater rafting, gondola rides, 4WD safaris and many more options. Enjoy your last day in the very picturesque Queenstown, the Adventure Capital of New Zealand. [Please note that above Options are not included in the tour costs].
